Nick Russell is a Brooklyn-based freelance and artistic photographer and videographer who shoots digital and large format 5”x7” film. He recently completed a two month photo odyssey across America and is currently processing the images. During the first part of the trip, which is being blogged at summerofscience.wordpress.com, he visited eight DOE National Laboratories and various other physics-related sites in an effort to document the transition in American high energy physics catalyzed by the construction of the Large Hadron Collider in Europe. The second part of the trip focused on landscapes of the American west. Images from both projects will be showcased here.
